Hi all,,, sending out a quick note before heading out for a 3 day weekend. I am not sure who celebrates Labor Day anymore (started in 1910 ) but I am sure glad it is a holiday. To me, it marks the end of summer and the beginning of school...to my husband, it is the beginning weekend of college football!!!!!
I hope you have had an opportunity to read your September Gazette. There are lots of interesting articles and information on our new trip and social events.

Social Fun!!!
Oktoberfest , Sunday, October 3rd, 3:00-7:00pm at the center, $8 per person, music by the Low-n-Brows, meal included, pay as you go wine and beer, $1 per drink...
Sock Hop, Saturday, October 30th, 7-10pm, music by the John and Curt Show...
Cirque Du Soleil, October 13th, sold out, 68 tickets in 2 days,, pretty awesome response.
Chicago at the Riverside, Thursday, October 21, doors open at 6:00 pm, $44.15 includes dinner, show, taxes and gratuity.
If you have time you might want to drop in on our Saturday Morning Social. This is a great way to meet other residents and start your Saturday...The social starts at 8:00 am but you do not have to be there right at 8 to enjoy the coffee and donuts.. there is a small fee for this event.
Don't forget our first potluck of the season is Tuesday, September 7th @ 6:30pm.. this is open to all residents, Bring a covered dish to serve 6-8 people.
Tonight's movie is, Dear John ( a Nicholas Sparks book made into movie) It is a good movie. I hope you all enjoy it.
