Community Center Committee meeting  minutes  3/20/09

The meeting was called to order at 1 PM by Tom Bruns.  Other  members attending were:

Rich Lazanov, Art Gabler, Mary Owens and Kurt Schaffert.  Also attending were Property Manager Debbie Sutton,  Activities Director Ann Jones and BoD member Tom Whalen.

The replacement chairs, TV audio transmitters and fitness equipment maintenance proposal have all been presented and  are on the BoD  3/25 meeting agenda.

Tennis Court repairs and maintenance proposals were reviewed. The electrical outlet for the ball thrower  has been installed  and the need for repair of  the cracks around support poles assesed . The fence straightening will possibly be done in conjunction with other work at no charge.  There is no further action needed at this time. 

The rowing machine selection  is under review.

Kurt and Debbie continue to explore options and costs for recoating the pool deck .  Simple recoating of the deck would need to be done every 3 years.  This is a recurring cost that also causes disruption to pool  use.  Long term solutions are being investigated.

Kurt has purchased a storage box for the pool cover.  It will be placed at a location that will facilitate ease of storing the cover and make the best appearance of the pool area.

Ann reports that the Social Committee has cleaned out storage drawers and secured them.

The next meeting will be April 17th at 1 PM.
