Falls Run Community Center Committee 11/14/11 meeting minutes

Chairman Don McCreary  called the meeting to order at 1 PM.   Members attending were Tom Bruns, Art Gabler,  Rich Lazanov, Don McCreary, Kurt Schaffert and Jo Schmidt.  Also attending were General Manager Ted Wessel, Jack Mounts and Brian Lonberger.

Jack and Brian were introduced and a motion to accept them as FRCCC members was approved 6 -0.

October 21 meeting minutes were read and approved 8 – 0.

Motion to accept Toms offer to record minutes was made and approved 8 – 0.

Old business:

Pool Maintenance Contracts and current pool and hot tub deficiencies:  A work group consisting of Don, Kurt, Brian, Jo and Ted was formed to identify issues and resolutions.

Recurring Committee Activities:   A general list was discussed

Discussion of the community center facilities within the scope of the committee resulted in the following members accepting responsibilities:

              Interior and Exterior Building Structures and Architectural Features – Jack Mounts.

              HVAC Systems – Don McCreary (lead) & Brian Lonberger.

              Interior and Exterior Furnishings – Mary Owens

              Electrical and Lighting – Jo Schmidt (lead) & Brian

              Swimming Pools – Kurt Schaffert (lead) & Brian

              Plumbing – Kurt

              Showers and Restrooms – Art Gabler

              Fitness Equipment – Rich Lazanov (lead) & Tom Bruns

              Exterior Sports Facilities – Tom

Recruiting Additional Committee Members:  It was agreed that 1 – 3 new members  are needed .  We have  a special need for a member with interior design experience.  Jack agreed to draft an announcement of this need and of a search for potential candidates

New Business:

Expanded Office Facilities for the General Manager: Don (lead) and Jack agreed to research options.
