Bus will depart from the Center at 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 18 and return around 8 p.m. on Sept. 19.
Travel through picturesque countryside to arrive in historic Gettysburg, PA at this perfect time of year. Enjoy overnight accommodations at the historic Gettysburg Hotel, located in the center of activity, shops and restaurants. History come alive as you experience Gettysburg National Military Park & Museum’s film, “A New Birth of Freedom,” the Cyclorama sight and sound depicting the fury of Pickett’s Charge, and exhibits. From the comfort of a tour bus, relive the war and gain insights into the three-day battle with a battlefield guide on a three-hour tour. Walk through the hallowed grounds of the National Cemetery and stand where Lincoln gave The Gettysburg Address,” a masterpiece of the English language containing only 272 words. And enjoy our special treat as we spend “An Evening with General and Mrs. Lee” at our hotel.
We’ll also have an opportunity to walk through an era most of us well remember on a tour Dwight D. Eisenhower’s Farm and Grounds.
Some free time is provided for exploring around the hotel and shopping.

All meals are on-your-own. There are numerous restaurants offering various price ranges and cuisines within easy walking distance from the hotel (a list will be available). The hotel has an excellent restaurant, and, if you wish, you can make reservations for dinner on 9/18/12, (717-338-5408). Lunch on Sept. 18 will be at the Visitor’s Center, and we will make a restaurant stop for dinner on Sept. 19. Consider bringing your own snacks and drinks for the bus.
