Modifications Committee Meeting Minutes for 6/10/09
The Modifications Committee met on Wednesday at 10 AM. Members present were Nancy Arnn, Joan Bitely, Bill Chance, Jim Eppes and Shirley Sommer. Also present were Don Horan, liaison to the BOD, Tom Whalen, secretary of the BOD, Debbie Bovasso, resident, and two contractors working with Mrs. Bovasso.

The letter prepared by Debbie Sutton that addresses poorly-maintained grass strips was reviewed and fine-tuned.
Nancy Arnn revisited 320 Bridgewater to see if #3 lawn letter was an error. Since our April inspection they have put down sod to correct their problem areas. The record has been changed to reflect this.
In April we mistakenly approved an awning for a villa unit. When fully extended the awning covers 5 feet of common ground. We are still trying to agree with the Villa BOD about how to amend this situation.
It was suggested that we create a Design Guideline limiting the number of solar lights. A lot of residents are using these in excess and are not submitting the required application for modifications.
We reviewed Joan Bitely's report on assessing white retaining walls and black railings. Joan will fine- tune her recommended addition to the Design Guidelines.
There was a discussion about items we would like included in a future Gazette article about our committee.
