Other Activity

All members support the new method of previewing the applications.  They were passed from one member to the next until they had made the circuit, the last one being responsible for bringing them to the meeting.

There was some discussion about a villa inquiry regarding future improvements.

Only one suggestion has been generated about changes to the Design Guidelines.  Notices will be put on channel 20 and Yahoo in an effort to create more interest.  As announced in a Gazette insert, we will accept input from residents through the end of September.

After 3 lengthy sessions, we are making progress on revising the Design Guidelines.  When we are through with them, they will go to the Ad Hoc Comm. on Enforcement for further simplification.  Then they will be returned to us for final revision before going to the BOD for approval.

The Ad Hoc Comm. has announced that it will be recommending to the BOD that future residence inspections be done by a part-time employee of Armstrong, preferably once a year in the spring.  The BOD  will approve violation notices before they are sent.  The AMS inspector will make entries to Armstrong Connect and be responsible for follow-up on violations.

The Modifications Committee Charter will be rewritten to delete reference to being responsible for inspections twice a year.  Our job will be to know the Design Guidelines from a-z so we can advise others.

Jack Mounts, chair of the Ad Hoc Comm., is working on shortening the application form to 2 pages and preparing a checklist for the AMS inspector.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 13 and will be announced on Channel 20 and Yahoo starting Oct. 6.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:53
