·   Master Plan  -  The fall 2009 implementation of the Master Plan Phase 1 will focus on installing the evergreen trees listed in the design.  In the fall of 2008, all the shade trees were installed because they are slow growers.  The same reasoning was used in selecting the evergreen trees for installation, they too are slow growers, and they have the added beauty of being green throughout the entire year.  A shrub bed by one of the benches is being considered also.  The implementation plan will be finalized at the June 11 committee meeting.

·   Planted Pool Pots  -  Kudos to Franklin Buck, Outi Hanscomb and Ann Graf for planting the summer flowers in the large pots in the outdoor pool area.  They look great, and the task was accomplished for approximately $100.00.  Franklin, Outi and Ann, and another resident, Marcia Foley, will water the plants throughout the summer.

·   Snow Committee   -  John Lynch will work with Ken Burke on the joint FRCA and Villa snow committee to draft a SOW for a snow removal contract for the 2009 - 2010 winter.

·   Statement of Work for Landscape Maintenance  - The FRCA Board approved the SOW for landscape maintenance of the common ground.  A map highlighting the common ground will be added to the SOW.  On May 26, members of the FRCA Board and the Villa Board will meet to review the areas around pond 5 that the FRCA will include in the SOW.  The directions for maintaining the bottom of pond 4 will be added to the SOW.  The bottom of pond 4 should be cut as often as the weather permits.  The sides of pond 4 should be mowed on the regular maintenance schedule.  Tom Whalen will present these recommendations to the Board, for their approval, at their May 27 meeting.

·   Shenandoah recently planted 2 beds to correct erosion problems; one behind Linden Court and one on the slope in the corner of the parking lot.  It was suggested that Shenandoah be asked to lay a netting over the bed on the slope to prevent the mulch from washing away.

·   2010 Budget  -  It was suggested at the May 13 Board meeting that money could be in the 2010 budget for upgrading the condition of the common ground soil.  The Finance Committee would like the budget proposals by mid July.
